THE ROAD TO ROLLEY

The story behind Rolley began in March 2020, just before Melbourne gyms closed their doors in the wake of the spread of covid19.

To cut a long story short, I had found myself with a large quantity of used and fairly dirty, large foam mats that had served under a giant water slide as impact absorbers but were now destined for landfill.

I put some up for sale on the marketplace on facebook and quickly started selling them for a whole variety of applications.

Then the news came, gyms were closing, indefinitely. Regular gym goers were in crisis mode scurrying to set up their home gyms. I changed the title of my post on marketplace to 'home gym mats' and boom.

During this time I gained a level of respect for the people in our community who take action and GET IT DONE when uncertainty is all around. The amazing material and the fact that there was nothing like these mats out there got me thinking.

I realised then that these are the people I am happy to serve and that the home gym revolution was just getting started. I had found the perfect mat for the job and thanks to covid I had just been made redundant for a job I hadn't even started yet.

Many early customers were also heavily into MMA and Jiu Jitsu who would tell me "I can't go a day without rolling". The term was new to me but I loved it and it summed up the concept in so many ways. After all I was on a roll - and every other pun going!

So began the hunt for the right supplier and the fun of perfecting the recipe based on all the feedback I had received.

Rolley is designed to provide the perfect platform for any type of floor exercise, or for dropping weights, for gymnastics, martial arts or any situation you need added protection or safety flooring.

Rolley became the hero of home gyms in 2020 and this was just the beginning.

When you keep sight of a goal and you keep pushing through adversity...that's how you create your own luck.
